Should of... Could of...... Would of.....

Huge Hello Everyone!
Well it's now Tuesday, I'm already feeling a little at a loss
i should be going to TAFE and have a little chat with Hannah and seeing if i
can try keeping up with Emma's touch Typing speed...hehe
Seriously FAST!
But alas i'm at home, Lockie is playing some pretend game with his soft toys and Justin is well
Justin...lol Got to love men....lol
I Understand i should be finishing my post of our excursion and i could start on our last
day at TAFE together
but i'm going with Renatas way of thinking, if i don't want to i wont....
well just not right now...lol

I did practice my stress relief on Sunday,
House was a mess, kids crawling up the walls and Justin trying not to smoke and
I some how was going to get creative...lol i don't think so!
so i just thought thats it!
I'm out of here!
So grabed my walking shoes and bag and walked all the way down to the Beach
and what a fantastic feeling!
Moments like this are priceless and totally free!
best part of my whole weekend!

Happiness is what Happiness does

Oh and if you want a lovely movie to watch "Letter to Juliet"

OMG! what a sweet movie! seriously i've been hanging out to watch this and it was worth it!

So sending all my Warm Happiness wishes out to the ladies!
I'm thinking of you!

And i will get my photos and other posts up...just not right now...hehe

{HUGS}

Keep smiling and enjoy the simple moments :)

another nice writing i found for my journal :)

It's time to let go of everything that has brought you down in the past. Stop worrying about yesterday, start thinking about how tomorrow you'll make it a great day. Be happy with what you have, love everyone. Stop thinking negative, to be happy you must keep a positive attitude. Look for the good in everyone. Start smiling at strangers, say hello to someone you don't know or don't talk to. Sit by new people, make new friends. Be happy and live it up every day. Not everyone gets a chance at living a full life, grasp that and be thankful.
Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your piece of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you!

SYNERGY

Synergy – what is it? Stephen Covey defines it as ‘the ability to create more together with others than we can by ourselves – the whole is greater than the sum of its parts’

For the first time I have really experienced the power of this idea of Synergy. Through the dynamics of these women there has been a desire to understand, challenge and grow into a united group that seems to be able to deal with things that as individuals they may have not. This Blog is where this Synergy can be documented.

There is NOW a place where each one of us can communicate what we feel, what we think, what makes us laugh and others can then read our posts and think and feel and smile along with it.

We have NOW become the first published authors of this blog, the start of an archive of the thoughts of the women  who each year spend 6 months together at Busselton TAFE in the NOW course.

Positive group dynamics happen because of the active involvement of every individual. Really successful groups need personalities that energise and use their skills and talents to help us. Samantha is such a personality. Without her we would not have had the beautiful design of ‘There is no better place than here and NOW’ and her Blogging prowess and willingness to give advice and help has made the whole process a lot of fun. Thanks Sam.

As Renate says in her post: ‘how excited l get about the possibilities that await all of us. Many of us have found a direction that we didn’t have 6mths ago. It’s fabulous, really, really fabulous.’

Monday 13 June 2011

Hello,

Weekends past by and we are down to our last two weeks. It is with great sadness that l say this.

l have been reading our different contributions and l must say they are all very heartwarming. It's nice to hear there is similiar sentiment. l car'nt put my finger on what it is with this blog , it seems to be quite enpowering. You can express yourself lets say in a uninhiberted way. Any way thats sort of the feel l'm getting for this blogging stuff.

So we are done with maths today. What a smack in the face that was for me. Maths brought up so much for me. l was totally challenged. l may continue working through maths with my daughter ( if she will have me ). l would really like to be not so disabled by maths.

At this stage one entry a week seems to be my limit, so enjoy your w/end, adieu

Its freezing cold its hard to concentrate when its so cold, its almost feels like it could snow, but i know it wont, the sky is now blue with the sunshine out so im slowly defrosting.

Im injoying tafe and the girls that i have made friends with, its such ashame that theres is only a few days left of being at tafe, im going to miss this lovely group of girls, along with our awsomeness teacher sarah.
It's a gr8 time for a big clean up, one room at a time and donate unused items to the op.shop.Then fill up the green rubbish bin:)

Sharing our stories

On Wednesday we learn different ways on how to relax. We have had hand massages, walks, relaxation, CD, Aromatherapy and craft. Sarah, our teacher, asked if my mother could come in and show us how to knit. We all had a lovely time knitting, talking and listening to Mum's life story. We finished with a beautiful afternoon tea.
LONG LIVE WOMEN OF ALL AGES.

ITS RAINING TODAY YEAH

INTERSTING.......HOPYFULLY I LL GET THROUGH MATHS AGAIN IN NEXT SEMSTER ............... I WILL KEEP MY BOOK OF RULES AND TRY MAKE LOOK LIKE NOTES TO HELP ME UNDERSTAND MATHS..............

No better time than NOW

Huge Hello Everyone!

As you may realize I am here to share parts of my journey through this course (and life)
as it is now coming to an end, i feel sad that there is not going to be more time to share and learn with
these lovely ladies!
Seriously i feel that i have grown as a person and women.
Not just a mum as i am so often labeled but as a confident enthusiastic
women ready to give it a go,
ready for the adventure that lays ahead in the ever present moment.

So go grab a cuppa and have a good read over these snippets of  these wonderful  ladies stories.

Before i came out of my shell, i was a stay at home mum too two boys
and very much ready to find a new path for my career.
I was not at all sure of who or what i wanted to be
only by chance did my eye spot  this New Opportunities
 for Women course.
The course out line was a perfect start too getting me out of my old routine
and making a new start.
I believe we are very blessed in our class to have one lecture for all our subjects
and no one could be a more perfect fit!
Sarah Lotze is without a doubt the heart and soul of this course!
without her enthusiasm, empathy and humor,
we couldn't have enjoyed and blossomed in this short six months.
I honestly have to say she is now one of my most inspirational women i have met,
not only was i enthralled to hear what Sarah had to say but was excited to be at TAFE

Through the course we touched on many different learning areas,
from effective communication, computing & technology, personal health and safety,
practical maths, career development, apply first aid and a few more...lol

I have to admit one of my first turning points was in Maths, after learning that
we all have different learning styles and how many different areas of intelligence
there actually are, i found that with a little practice and Sarah teaching methods
i was able to uncover a hidden delight in working our Math problems!
i know what a shock!
all these years i said i hated math and really i enjoy problem solving.
After this confidence boost i found i wanted to try things and was a little less scared of
the unknown.

I honestly think for a women or mum coming out of the house
so to speak, this was the perfect starting point....

With this in mind i wanted to say that i thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my
fellow students and finally having some relief to know
that i am not alone :)

I think that's a good start to letting you know a little bit about who i am
and where i am going....

............going to get another cuppa...lol
till next posts ladies :)
Remember to
++++just breath+++
and enjoy the simple moments

Sunday 12 June 2011

Hello I hope you have all had a good weekend!!

I have a writing I found called Attitude, not sure who wrote it but thought I'd share it :).

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company.. a church.. a home. The remarkable thing is, we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past.. we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is plan on the one thing we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you.. we are in charge of our attitudes.

hello

Hello
Forever in a Day
Forever in a Night
Forever in our Lives
You are the only one
I shall cherish...............

This morning was really cold at least we don't get snow all though it might be nice to see it one day and touch it...life is full of surprises hey if  you don't wake up with a smile in the moring that day won't be exciting and fun.............

OMG my first contribution

OMG this is my first contribution to our new blog that we are creating here at TAFE Busselton.l have know idea what Iam really doing ,I am just hoping to god it will come together?
So we are a pretty cool mix of ladies that have joined together for the last six months to do the NOW course. As the course draws to a finish in a couple of weeks I think we are all feeling a little sad. I think we look forward to catching up and sharing our experiences.
So surprising for me was my interpretation of what this was about and how it was going to benefit me. I struggled at first. l had to challenge myself, l had to push myself because there were many times l wanted to give up. I began to see similarities in my attitude that reminded me of when I was in high school. But fortunately I am an adult now and I am able to make appropriate changes needed. Maybe I was too immature back then. The whole process has been very enlightening.
There has been aspects to this course that have been so valuable, such as friendships that have developed and the support that we give to each other.
Anyway many days have passed since l have contributed to this and as l can see l was beginning to ramble on a bit,so I will finish this warble off by saying how excited I get about the possibilities that await all of us. Many of us have found a direction that we didn't have 6mths ago. It's fabulous, really really fabulous.

We come together

In February 2011 a group of women met for the first time on a small TAFE campus in the South West of WA. They were here to join the NOW course to see what they could find.

NOW stands for New Opportunities for Women and it's purpose is to help women from every type of background to come along and maybe to see what they could find in themselves, their lives and even as it turns out to be their happiness.

For some, things are hard at first - Computers and Maths being the main challenges. So we start to find ways of dealing with these fears and their energy and confidence starts to grow. Each of them expressing their ideas, thoughts, feeling free even to state their positions in life. We don't all agree but strive to understand and feel the power of the word empathy.

The project starts - I call it the 'Happiness Project' but the name means something different to everyone.

What is Happiness? It proves to be multi-layered but in the end simple - everyone has their own definition of Happiness. We start to gather words, quotes, pictures, poems, songs, stories - things that give us pleasure, make us feel good, bring a smile to our face, enhance our well being - the list just keeps getting bigger.

The project expands and now includes a journal for documenting all these wonderful discoveries and a physical representation of the edited ideas - a vision board, collage, major art works and symbolic pieces, all with the same theme - finding the positive values in your life that can lead to your Happiness.

My name is Sarah and I am their lecturer - but the story is theirs.
